“So, my CrossFit story all starts with my cousin Josh Langston. I remember after my mission, I got home and I saw Josh while I was at work and he was freakin yoked! I was like, “Josh, how are you so buff now?” So, he told me about CrossFit and that I should come come check it out. About two months passed and I texted Josh seriously needing to change my physical life. He invited me to the gym along with anyone else I could invite. Naturally, I invited my wife and a friend Zach. I still remember my first WOD, running Annie. I couldn’t breathe and my wife beat me by 2 minutes! I also threw up. My experience started off with a doosey. I love CrossFit for lots of reasons. I like seeing everyone that I’ve grown to love on a daily basis. I love the daily challenge every WOD brings. Now it’s always been my goal to go to regionals. I realize that dream is far-fetched, but that doesn’t stop me from working hard every day. My advice for anyone new is no matter how addicted you may be, you always need a rest day. Give your body time to catch up and recover. Also, stick to the program, warm up properly and work your guts out! My favorite CrossFit moves are Turkish Get Ups, Squat Cleans, Hand Stand Walks, and Double Unders.”
