Athlete Spotlight Holly Simmons: “What I love about CrossFit is the positive environment. I love the constant pushing and receiving from other athletes and coaches. I get the motivation needed to push myself as hard as I can. I love all the people, it’s my social life, my outlets, and my escape from everyday life. I started CrossFit 18 months ago because Haley Clay introduced it to me. She was telling me how amazing it was and that I needed to try it. When my baby was 5 months old, I decided to give it a try, and it kicked my trash. Before starting CrossFit, I was running, but the endurance at a box is something totally different. CrossFit isn’t for everybody, but it’s for me!! It’s my drug of choice, for sure. I’ve met so many amazing people and made a lot of new friends that share the same passion that I do. It’s amazing! I look forward to reaching new goals, setting new goals, and continuing to work really hard in the box.”
